Get on highway 101, direction Annapolis Valley. Take exit 4 (Ellershouse). At the bottom of the ramp turn right and follow that road for about 5 minutes until you see radio towers on your left. Turn left after the towers, the sign points to Brooklyn. This puts you on the 215 east. Stay on this road, despite many forks, by keeping a close eye on those little brown 215 signs. You are heading in the direction of Walton. After about 10-15 minutes on the 215, you will enter Centre Burlington (green sign). Keep going, past the store (Sanford's gas and grocery). We are the second road on the left after the store. #178 Red Bank Rd. The trip takes about one hour.
On June 21, Smokin’ Contra Band will play a Contradance in the Centre Burlington Hall. You will see the Hall on your right before turning on to the Red Bank Rd.
From Wolfville.
Take the 101 towards Halifax, and get off the highway at exit 5A. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left, then left again when you are facing the Tim Horton's shortly after. This puts you on the Wentworth road which goes under the highway and over several hills, past the gypsum mine. Keep going until you hit a stop sign. Turn left and continue along the windy road into the little town of Brooklyn. There is a three way intersection you will encounter (where there are two gas stations). Turn left and carefully follow the signs for the 215 east, direction Walton. Stay on the 215! After about 10-15 minutes on the 215, you will enter Centre Burlington (green sign). Keep going, past the store (Sanford's gas and grocery). We are the second road on the left after the store. #178 Red Bank Rd. The trip from Wolfville takes about 45 minutes.
From Windsor.
Take the Wentworth road out of town. This is the road with the Ultramar, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, Superstore, and (most importantly) the agricultural exhibition grounds. It goes under the highway and over several hills, past the gypsum mine. Keep going until you hit a stop sign. Turn left and continue along the windy road into the little town of Brooklyn. There is a 3-way intersection you will encounter (with an Irving gas station). Turn left and carefully follow the signs for the 215 east, direction Walton. Stay on the 215! After about 10 minutes on the 215, you will enter Centre Burlington (green sign). Keep going, past the store (Sanford's gas and grocery). We are the second road on the left after the store. #178 Red Bank Rd. The trip from Windsor takes about 25 minutes.
From Truro.
Get on the road leading out of town towards Old Barns (exit 14, direction Maitland). Keep following the signs for Maitland, which puts you on the 215. Follow the 215 all the way along the shore. Make sure at Walton to make that right turn that keeps you on the 215 (just past the store). Eventually you will come to Centre Burlington where we live. There is a very sharp turn to the right to get on Red Bank Rd. It is just past the Cogmagun River. We are #178. The trip takes about 1.5 hours. You may choose to take the 236 which is a slightly shorter distance but it is very easy to get lost that way if you don't know the area.
